What we collect
When you enquire or make a reservation, we collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Your booking details — dates, cottage, number of guests, activities requested and any notes you send us.
- Payment confirmation details from our payment provider (transaction reference and status).
What we do not collect
We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. All payments are processed directly by Razorpay on their own secure systems; we receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded.
We do not run advertising trackers or sell your data to anyone.
How we use your information
Your information is used only to:
- Confirm, manage and honour your reservation.
- Contact you about your stay, by email or WhatsApp.
- Issue an invoice and meet legal, tax and hospitality record-keeping obligations.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with the services that run this website and our bookings: Razorpay (payment processing), Resend (sending booking and enquiry emails), Sanity (website content), and Vercel (website hosting). Each processes data on our behalf.
If you choose to message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy terms.
We may disclose information where required by law or by a competent authority.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you join our early-access list, your email is stored locally in your own browser until the reservation system takes over.
How long we keep it
Booking and invoice records are retained for as long as required by Indian tax and hospitality regulations. Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted once they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Write to contactus@postcardsstay.com and we will respond promptly.
Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS, and access to booking information is limited to our team. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
