Cancellation & Refund Policy

Plans change — here is exactly how cancellations and refunds work, so there are no surprises.

Refund tiers

All cancellations are calculated from your scheduled check-in date and time (1:00 PM IST). The refund you receive depends on how far in advance you cancel:

  • 10 days or more before check-in — 100% refund of the amount paid.
  • Between 48 hours and 10 days before check-in — 50% refund of the amount paid.
  • Less than 48 hours before check-in — no refund.

How to cancel

Write to us at contactus@postcardsstay.com or message us on WhatsApp with your booking name and dates. Your cancellation takes effect from the time we receive your request.

How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through our payment provider, Razorpay. Once we initiate the refund it typically reaches your account within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

Applicable GST is refunded in the same proportion as the room amount. Payment gateway charges, where non-recoverable, may be deducted.

No-show and early departure

If you do not arrive on your scheduled check-in date and have not informed us, the booking is treated as a no-show and no refund is due.

If you depart earlier than your booked check-out date, the remaining nights are non-refundable.

Changes to your dates

We will always try to accommodate a date change. Requests made 10 or more days before check-in can usually be moved once, subject to availability and any difference in tariff. Within 10 days, the refund tiers above apply.

If we have to cancel

In the rare event that we cannot honour a confirmed booking — including due to landslides, road closures, extreme weather or other circumstances beyond our control — you will receive a full 100% refund, or the option to move your stay to another date.
